VISUAL LANGUAGE : HUNGARIAN & VIETNAMESE CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS

THE LANGUAGE OF THE IMAGES

Regardless of the place where the artists live, they are going to use the language of creation, a universal language for expressing ideas and feelings. A language shared by artists across the world, one that holds a mirror for us, a mirror in which we can perceive our world. There might be different styles and directions in expressing art, since the artist will also always reflect the moment in time and the tradi- tions he is living in. However! Contemporary art will share so many codes, traits and so many parallel meanings that are not depending on the very moment or the very place when and where the artworks are created.
The creative process is meant to reflect the world as we know it, to show us the problems, the joys, the pain and the frustration of it all. Art uses specific codes and it works in its own style and ultimately, the artwork itself will become the answer and the judgement.
Art is giving us the gift of emotions and beauty in a specifically constructed way, even if this experience needs a de-coding which is different from our everyday context. Art works hard to relay to us the spiritual content and to deliver us the meassage, no matter which part of the world the artist lives in. That particular piece of art will give us the most: the essence and the truth of our world, by using the language of the images. It will be the very mirror of our times, of our inner world and of our spirits, and art is going to tell us of sense and of sensibility.
At the end of the day, art is always going to be universal, independent and autonomous.
